Vitesco Technologies, a prominent manufacturer of sustainable drive systems, has taken a bold stride by initiating direct sales of original equipment (OE)-manufactured spare parts in the Independent Aftermarket. The company envisions a comprehensive ecosystem of spare parts and services for electrically powered vehicles, spanning from passenger cars to commercial vehicles, all originating from a single reliable source.
In line with its expansive product portfolio, Vitesco Technologies has chosen to introduce NOx sensors of premium OE quality as the inaugural components available for purchase. These NOx sensors play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with stringent emission standards for combustion engines. This significant undertaking aligns seamlessly with the company’s overarching strategy to propel the transition towards carbon-free and sustainable mobility.
“Our commitment to promoting a cleaner and more efficient operation of internal combustion vehicles on the market is central to our strategy. As an original equipment manufacturer, we fulfill this responsibility by providing original spare parts to the independent aftermarket,” remarks Gregory May, the head of the Aftermarket and Non-Automotive business unit.
With a rich history in series production and the manufacture of over one hundred million NOx sensors for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles, Vitesco Technologies has solidified its position as a world-leading producer in this field, harnessing extensive expertise.
To enhance the accessibility of its products in the independent aftermarket and guarantee top-notch customer service, Vitesco Technologies has forged a partnership with Christian Winkler GmbH & Co. KG, a German company specializing in commercial vehicle parts based in Stuttgart. This collaboration serves to broaden the distribution of NOx sensors and reinforce the commitment to exceptional aftermarket support.
In the forthcoming months, Vitesco Technologies has ambitious plans to expand its array of original spare parts. These parts will be conveniently distributed through their new centralized warehouse situated in Dortmund. The collaboration with Winkler complements the existing distribution network of original spare parts facilitated by Continental, fortifying the company’s commitment to a comprehensive and efficient supply chain.
