A new framework agreement between the CNRS and Valeo was signed, and it could result in the development of collaborative research projects and theses. In 200 laboratories, 1,000 researchers are engaged in relevant studies, and 100 start-ups have already been established in the field. Since the end of 2019, the CNRS has developed a strategic interest in the automobile sector, and 30 collaborative laboratories with corporate sponsors have been established. The Group was named the top French patent applicant in the world by France’s INPI intellectual property institute on June 14,2022, with 1,777 patents filed in a single year (2020). In order to attain more intelligent mobility, Valeo is driving innovation, as seen by the framework agreement it signed with the CNRS. The MoveUp plan, the value creation strategy at the centre of the four megatrends affecting transportation, was unveiled by Valeo in February 2022.
