Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power and a prominent renewable energy firm in India, has established a Group Captive Power Delivery Agreement (PDA) for a 4.4 MW AC project in collaboration with the ANAND Group, a global leader in the automotive systems and parts industry. This partnership sets the stage for generating 10 million units of clean energy from renewable sources, effectively reducing approximately 5500 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. This initiative aligns with TPREL’s mission to foster a greener future for its Commercial and Industrial (C & I) clients. By teaming up with sustainability-focused entities like ANAND, Tata Power aims to encourage other organizations to invest in environmentally friendly energy solutions.
Mr. Ashish Khanna, CEO of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, expressed his satisfaction in supporting ANAND Group’s clean energy journey and the broader automotive industry’s sustainability endeavors. Rajeev Gera, President of Business Development & Corporate Materials at ANAND Group, emphasized the collaborative spirit of the project, highlighting its contribution to a greener future.
Notably, Tata Power and the ANAND Group previously collaborated on a 10.1 MW Solar PV park power project in Maharashtra, India. This latest Group Captive PPA reflects the ongoing commitment of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited and ANAND to promote renewable energy adoption, demonstrating Tata Power’s expertise in innovative energy solutions and ANAND’s dedication to sustainable business practices. This approach offers cost-effective renewable energy access for multiple participants, aligning with the government’s sustainability goals.
This addition takes TPREL’s total renewables capacity to 7,787 MW, including 3,655 MW projects at various implementation stages. Its operational capacity stands at 4,132 MW, encompassing 3,139 MW of solar and 993 MW of wind energy.
