India’s own auto giants join hands for an EV project called REVO. Like the saying “together is strength “, Mahindra and Tata Motors build up partnership, to acquire their EV dream.
It was a remarkable decision from Mahindra and Tata motors. This mutually beneficial alliance is more surprising. It is sure that this will be a much awaited collaboration in India’s automotive history.
The name REVA is used to pay homage to Reva Electric, the company with which Mahindra began its EV journey. Also, REVA is a prefix for Tata motors’ ICE powertrains.
REVO will be the mix of TATA’s EV model “Sierra”, the model that showcased on Delhi vehicle expo in 2020 and Mahindra’s XUV 400 the rumoured compact vehicle in W-601 platform. In the first phase the companies are planning to go with the mini version of the SUV. Further details are yet to be finalised.
