Current Vice President and Head of ZF Group in India, Suresh KV, has decided to leave his position as a regional executive of the company in order to take on new challenges. In order to ensure a smooth transition and to support his successor, the Board of Directors carefully considered and approved Suresh KV’s request to continue working for the company until October 6, 2023.
Akash Passey, who founded the bus sector at VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (a partnership between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited), will start serving as President of ZF India on September 1, 2023. With his leadership roles at Volvo and Eicher, both domestically and abroad, Akash provides a lot of expertise. His in-depth understanding of the Indian market and the auto industry, particularly in the commercial vehicle sector, puts him in a good position to raise ZF Group’s brand value and income in India. All of the divisions will be guided by his strategic counsel towards a solid course for corporate expansion.
Suresh KV’s experience with ZF began in 2007, when he joined Hansen (later bought by ZF) after holding important executive positions in prominent Indian supplier firms. Under his leadership, ZF Group in India grew to 15,400 people and accomplished notable feats, such as the establishment of the ZF Group plant at Chakan, the corporate office, a larger building for ZF Tech Centre India, and expansion in ZF Wind power. Throughout his tenure, he skillfully negotiated the difficulties brought on by two significant automotive downturns and the worldwide COVID crisis over the past two years, assuring ZF Group’s ongoing expansion in the area.
