Cipia, a provider of AI computer vision in-cabin automotive solutions, has revealed securing four new design wins with an existing global OEM customer. This latest agreement entails the integration of Cipia’s Driver Sense driver monitoring system into four heavy-duty truck models to be manufactured in Europe, with production scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The Driver Sense DMS by Cipia utilises advanced computer vision and AI to detect indications of driver drowsiness, distraction, and more, contributing to enhanced automotive safety.
This marks a continuation of Cipia’s success, having previously been awarded design wins for several car models produced by the same OEM. The inclusion of Cipia’s technology in heavy-duty trucks, running on a Renesas SoC, demonstrates the OEM’s confidence in Cipia’s value proposition.
Yehuda Holtzman, CEO of Cipia, expressed pride in the company’s ability to deepen partnerships in Europe, contributing to the creation of safer vehicles and roads. He emphasized the significance of the repeat business with an existing OEM, considering it a testament to the value Cipia provides to its customers. The announcement follows a series of design wins throughout 2023, doubling Cipia’s total number of design wins and positioning the company for growth as these models enter production.
With these latest design wins, Cipia has now accumulated a total of 61 design wins across nine OEMs in Europe, China, and the United States.
