India’s Bharat NCAP (BNCAP), the country’s indigenous car assessment program, was officially unveiled in late August 2023. Although the initial announcement indicated a formal launch date of October 1, recent updates indicate that Bharat NCAP will initiate car crash tests starting from December 15.
According to reports, Bharat NCAP intends to subject several cars to crash testing, although the exact lineup of vehicles to be tested has not been disclosed. However, it has been confirmed that the Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts, recently introduced, will be among the initial models undergoing crash tests.
