The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the apex body representing India’s Auto Component manufacturing industry, has successfully concluded the 4th edition of its ‘Transforming Mobility 2024 – Global Summit & Expo’. The event, held on February 26 & 27, 2024, at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi, served as a significant step forward in redefining mobility and positioning India at the forefront of EV components manufacturing and innovations.
The expo brought together over 50 EV component manufacturers from various vehicle segments, providing a platform for domestic and international business leaders, OEMs, start-ups, policymakers, and delegates from over 16 countries to explore and discuss the future of electric mobility.
Shradha Suri Marwah, President, ACMA & Managing Director, Subros Ltd., commented on the success of the Global Summit & Expo, emphasizing India’s potential for growth in the automotive industry. Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA, highlighted ACMA’s commitment to driving industry growth and development, especially in the thriving EV market.
The inauguration featured Chief Guest Dr. Hanif Quershi, Addl. Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt. of India, and Guest of Honour Mr. Deepak Thukral, EO – Supply Chain, Maruti Suzuki India, who provided valuable insights into the emerging automotive landscape.
Notable auto component manufacturers like Sona Comstar, Uno Minda, JBM Group, Lucas TVS, Minda Corporation, NRB Bearings, Rosmerta Technologies, Sandhar Technologies, Vikas Groups, among others, participated in the expo.
The success of the EV Expo underlines ACMA’s dedication to shaping a greener, more innovative automotive landscape, focusing on eco-friendly solutions for a sustainable future of mobility in India.
