The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi from February 1-3, will see the participation of 27 leading vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and 400 component makers from India and the global market. The mega exhibition, focusing on electric mobility and alternative technologies, will also bring together more than 40 battery and storage companies. The event is organized by the Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with various ministries and industry bodies such as SIAM, ACMA, Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association, Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles, and NASSCOM.
Minister of Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal, while unveiling the expo’s logo, expressed the initial resistance to the concept but emphasized the country’s determination to showcase its best offerings to the world in a short timeframe.
Distinguishing itself from the biannual India Auto Expo held in January 2023, the three-day event will encompass the entire mobility ecosystem, featuring exhibitions on electric, hybrid, and bio-fuel vehicles, powertrain technologies, electrical and electronics subsystems, eco-friendly tires, battery technology, charging infrastructure, connected technologies, and alternative fuel technologies.
The expo is anticipated to be a landmark event, fostering collaboration and innovation in the mobility sector, with over 600 exhibitors from more than 50 countries showcasing their products, technologies, and breakthroughs. Additionally, the event will host over 13 conferences covering various aspects of mobility. Participating countries include the United States, Japan, Germany, Korea, Taiwan, UAE, Russia, and Italy.
