Infineon Technologies and Honda Motor Co have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic collaboration. Honda has selected Infineon as its semiconductor partner to align future product and technology roadmaps.
Both companies have also agreed to ongoing discussions regarding supply stability and to facilitate the exchange of mutual knowledge. They aim to collaborate on projects aimed at accelerating the time to market of technologies.
Peter Schiefer, President of the Automotive Division at Infineon, commented, “Infineon’s system understanding, broad product portfolio, and exceptional quality have positioned us as a valued partner to Japan’s automotive industry. We are privileged to be Honda’s semiconductor partner in this strategic collaboration. Strengthening our longstanding partnership is both a validation of the value we provide and a testament to the trust placed in us to contribute to future successes.”
Infineon will provide technical support to Honda to enable competitive and advanced vehicles. The focus will be on power semiconductors, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and E/E architectures, with both parties collaborating on new architecture concepts.
