Infineon Technologies AG and Autotalks have announced a partnership to develop advanced V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything communication) solutions. Infineon will provide its automotive-grade HyperRam 3.0 memory for Autotalks’ Tekton3 and Secton3 V2X reference designs.
The Tekton3 system-on-chip (SoC) is designed specifically for driving actions through connectivity, enabling vehicles to communicate with each other and their environment, improving road safety. To support concurrent dual-radio and full V2X software implementations, external memory is required. Infineon’s HyperRam 3.0 meets the cost, density, and performance requirements for this purpose.
HyperRam 3.0 extends the throughput of Infineon’s HyperRam family to 800 MBps via a x16 Hyperbus interface. These automotive-qualified devices are the ideal expansion memory solution for Tekton3’s processing needs.
Amos Freund, Autotalks’ Vice President R&D, commented on the collaboration, stating, “Infineon’s HyperRam and NOR flash memories are ideal pairings for our latest generation of V2X SoCs. We are excited to team up with Infineon, a leader in memory and automotive technology, to deliver our cutting-edge V2X offering, enabling OEMs to create targeted V2X solutions.”
Patrick Le Bihan, Senior Director of Ecosystem Marketing at Infineon, highlighted the growth potential of the V2X market and the benefits of the collaboration. He stated, “Our HyperRam and NOR Flash memories work seamlessly with Autotalks’ SoCs to deliver a low-cost, high-performance solution in an energy-efficient manner. We are excited to partner with a leading V2X provider and look forward to continued collaboration with Autotalks.”
