Dacia, the value-focused brand under the Renault Group, has unveiled the pricing for its latest Duster small SUV in France. The base model, Essential trim with front-wheel drive, starts at 19,690 euros, showcasing Dacia’s commitment to affordability. However, the new Duster signals a shift in focus, as Renault Group aims for a balance between competitive pricing and higher profit margins, targeting 15 percent margins for Dacia by 2030. The new model, based on the Renault-Nissan CMF-B platform, includes a full-hybrid variant and dual-fuel LPG powertrains. While Dacia has traditionally been known for its budget-friendly offerings, the pricing strategy is evolving, reflecting the changing landscape in the small SUV segment. The Duster’s competitiveness remains, although the pricing gap with rivals has narrowed, with the new model seeking to provide enhanced value for money. The Duster will be showcased at the 2024 Geneva Auto Show in February, with deliveries expected to commence in the second quarter.
