On October 18, the Brose Sitech joint venture officially opened its second manufacturing
facility in China. Brose is a global automotive supplier specializing in mechatronic
systems for cars and trucks.
The newly established company, Brose Sitech (Anhui) Automotive Systems Co., is
located in Hefei, Anhui province. Initially, it will provide seat systems for the all-electric
Cupra Tavascan, with series production scheduled to commence in December 2023.
There are also plans for additional projects in collaboration with Volkswagen Anhui. The
goal is to expand partnerships with other customers through this new facility.
The current production capacity is approximately 650,000 seats per year, delivered in
sync with vehicle production at the nearby Volkswagen plant, along with around 1.2
million front seat structures. In May 2023, Brose Sitech Anhui secured two more orders,
which will further boost capacity utilization and sales in the region.
