Antolin, a prominent manufacturer of vehicle interiors, has reported a revenue of 3,533 million euros in the first nine months of 2023, marking a 10% increase compared to the same period last year. During this timeframe, Antolin achieved 249 million euros in EBITDA, reflecting a growth rate of 12%, attributed in part to efficiency measures implemented under its transformation plan and focused efforts on cost optimization and control. The global vehicle production saw a 9% increase over the first nine months of the year.
Key Growth Drivers in India and China:
All regions of Antolin demonstrated positive performance in the first nine months, with Asia, driven by robust business in India and China, standing out. Sales in this region surged by 12% to 564 million euros, surpassing the 7% growth in vehicle production.
Regional Performance:
Sales in Europe and other markets also climbed by 12% to 1,759 million euros. Antolin’s operations in North America posted revenues of 1,209 million euros, marking a 6% increase compared to the same period last year.
Transformation Plan and Market Strategy:
As part of its transformation plan, Antolin is strategically targeting an increased presence in markets with high growth potential, such as China, and aims to offer more value-added products to customers by leveraging capabilities in lighting, electronics, and HMI solutions. The overarching goal is to achieve sustainable and profitable growth while consolidating its position as a leading provider of technological solutions for vehicle interiors.
Order Intake and Electric Mobility Focus:
Antolin continues to increase its order intake and has secured new projects worth 5,300 million euros between January and September. A key business priority for Antolin is tapping into the opportunities presented by the new era of electric mobility, focusing on creating technologically advanced vehicle interiors to enhance the travel experience for passengers. Antolin actively supports the electric strategies of both established manufacturers and emerging firms specializing in electric cars, with a particular emphasis on the Chinese market. The company serves as a supplier to 14 all-electric brands globally, and in 2022, around 40% of electric cars sold worldwide were equipped with Antolin components.
