CDP, an international non-profit organization, operates the world’s leading environmental disclosure system for companies, municipalities, and other entities. CDP scores are instrumental in guiding investment and procurement decisions aimed at fostering a more sustainable and resilient net-zero economy.
In 2023, a total of 23,000 companies, including 1,985 Japanese firms, responded to information requests from financial institutions, procurement entities, and organizations via CDP, divulging data related to climate change, forests, and water security.
Among these, Yamaha Motor stood out as one of only 346 companies, including 109 Japanese firms, to achieve an ‘A’ score for its transparency regarding climate change.
