EDAG Engineering GmbH and Bosch Engineering GmbH have formalised a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on project-based initiatives in complete vehicle engineering. Through this agreement, the two German companies aim to merge their expertise and offer combined services to the market, enhancing each other’s capabilities effectively.
The shared connection between Bosch Engineering and EDAG lies in their extensive experience gained from executing complete vehicle projects. Dr. Johannes-Jörg Rüger, President of Bosch Engineering, remarks, “Increasingly stringent environmental and sustainability standards, alongside trends like the software-defined vehicle, contribute to growing complexity in vehicle engineering. By leveraging our combined strengths, we aim to expedite the development of new vehicles with greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.”

This encompasses styling, virtual modeling, electronics and software development, prototype construction, hardware testing, and the provision of technical services and production methods. Verified simulation methods, digital twins for products and production, and extensive expertise in smart factories ensure high quality, security, agility, and flexibility throughout the development and production processes.
The memorandum of understanding between the two companies builds upon years of collaboration, during which they have successfully executed joint projects in complete vehicle engineering for automotive manufacturers. This agreement further deepens their partnership.
